Parts and stock

Your parts catalog, stock levels and barcode scanning.

Parts is your catalog: what you stock, what it costs you and what you sell it for.

• + Add a part with name, category, barcode, supplier, cost price, sell price, stock and a low-stock threshold.
• Scan stock in: scan barcodes as a delivery arrives. Each scan adds to the stock.
• Parts at or below their threshold are marked Low stock and appear on the Dashboard.

Barcodes

Scanning works with the phone or tablet camera, with no extra hardware. If the same part comes from two suppliers at different prices, keep it as two parts.

Cost prices

Recording the cost price is what lets Mechy show your real profit per job in Reports.

Using a part on a job takes it out of stock. Changing the quantity on the job adjusts the stock too.
